Hundreds of runners are gearing up to raise money at the Cambridge Town and Gown 10K.
The annual event is supporting Muscular Dystrophy UK as it's charity partner in 2024.
The races start and finish on Cambridge's Midsummer Common on Sunday 6 October.
Timings:
8am: Event Village opens
9am: Junior 3k warm-up
9:15am: 3k Junior race start
9:45am: 10k warm-up
10am: 10k race start
11am: Trophy and prize presentation
1pm: Event Village closes
Road closures:
The following roads will be closed from 8am until 12 noon on Sunday 6 October:

• Chesterton Road
• Northampton Street
• Queens Road
• Silver Street
• Trumpington Street
• Kings Parade
• Senate House
• Trinity Street
• St Johns Street
• Bridge Street
• Jesus Lane
• Park Parade
• Maids Causeway
• Newmarket Road
• Walnut Tree Avenue
• River Side
• Footpaths 11
Most of the affected roads will be closed on a rolling closure system, and will re-open as soon as the last runner has passed and it's safe to do so.
To coincide with these closures, parking in certain residential parking bays will also be suspended.
