Operational Information
Star Radio broadcasts on 100.7FM across Cambridgeshire, 107.1FM in Ely and the Fens, 107.9FM in Haverhill and 107.3FM in Saffron Walden. Star is transmitted on DAB on the Cambridgeshire multiplex and is also available on Radioplayer, TuneIn and on smart speaker.
Local Production/ Automation
All of the programming is produced from our studios in Cambridge. Star Radio automates some parts of its of programming using computer technology and makes use of voice tracking on occasion. Presenter links may be pre-recorded from within Ofcom's approved area for the East of England.

Local Information
There are regular local news, weather and travel updates throughout the day. We also provide an opportunity for local charities and good causes to get publicity with our hourly "Star Life" feature.

Star Radio supports a wide range of local charities and events across the year.
Recent examples include the Ely Christmas Lights Switch On, Ely Eel Day and the Cambridge Dragon Boat Festival as well as the Star Christmas Toy Appeal.

We provide hourly bulletins containing local news stories in peak time each weekday from 6am - 9am and 4pm - 6pm. Weekends feature national news bulletins on the hour with additional local news and information following between 10am and 2pm. At other times we take national and international news supplied by Sky News.
